Basic Steps:
For Chemical/Air Threats:
- Seal windows and doors with plastic
- Turn off ventilation systems
- Go to an interior room without windows
- Create a positive pressure seal
For Severe Weather (Tornado):
- Go to lowest floor
- Find interior room away from windows
- Get under sturdy furniture
- Protect head and neck
For Active Threats:
- Lock and barricade doors
- Turn off lights
- Silence phones
- Stay quiet and hidden
- Call 911 if safe to do so

- Battery-powered radio
- Flashlights
- Water and snacks
- First aid kit
- Medications
- Plastic sheeting and duct tape
